12 Must-Try Essential Oil Recipes for Your Diffuser ... these combos smell amazing! Diffusing is a great way to experience the benefits of essential oils.
Diffuse, diffuse, diffuse!
Do you have a diffuser? I LOVE mine! I have several of them. Using them is one of my favorite ways to use essential oils!
Air fresheners, wall plug-ins and scented candles are not welcome in my home. Sure, I used those over 15 years ago, but then I found out the dangers of them.
Do you know how many toxic chemicals are in those things?! Crazy. There is a better way friends - a much better, SAFER, healthier and non-toxic way to enjoy amazing scents in your home {plus some cool benefits too!}.
Essential Oils + Diffusers
Diffusing makes your home smell amazing, but that's not the only thing it does. When you use therapeutic-grade essential oils, you can reap some pretty awesome benefits too.
I have FOUR different diffusers. Yes, I really love them.
I keep my TheraPro Premium Diffuser {an updated model is available through Young Living} in my dining and living room area. It's an atomizing diffuser, one of the most advanced diffusers.
Atomizing or nebulizing diffusers help provide therapeutic healing benefits of essential oils by creating a super fine mist in the air. They do not use water to diffuse, they just emit airborne particles of essential oils.
I use this almost daily, but especially when there's been stress, we've been around sick people or when there's lots of crud stuff going around.
I use my home diffuser in my daughter's bedroom {if you sign up for a wholesale account/premium starter kit, you can get the home diffuser at a discounted rate} and my dew drop diffuser in our family area in the house.
My daughter loves having her own special one in her room, especially before bedtime. She loves to diffuse calming blends. This has been amazing with helping her get to sleep and sleep through the night with no nightmares.
This diffuser is easy to move around the house if needed too. Sometimes we bring it outside to diffuse when we're hanging out in our backyard and there's lots of mosquitos flying around.
I also have a Travel Fan diffuser {available through Young Living} that I use in both my car and my husband's car. It's awesome because it's portable, small, you can travel with it, and it uses cool air.
There are important things to look for when choosing a diffuser.
Make sure to look for nebulizing/atomizing or cold-air diffusers, since anything that heats the oils can potentially decrease the beneficial properties of the essential oils.
There are some great ones available online. This portable cool mist diffuser and this vapor diffuser are some of the most affordable ones that I could find.
I only use Young Living therapeutic-grade essential oils for my family. I LOVE them - here's why.
12 Must-Try Essential Oil Recipes for Your Diffuser
These recipes are meant to be used in a cold-air diffuser. Most cold-air diffusers require water as well. I use about 2-6 drops {and sometimes up to 10 drops} of essential oils per use in this type of diffuser. If you're using an atomizing diffuser like I do, you can make up a blend in a clean bottle to diffuse {it's super easy, just use the ratios of essential oils}. If you don't have all of the essential oils, use what you have. The possibilities are endless. The essential oils I am referring to in these recipes are exclusively Young Living. EO = Essential Oil

I am actually fairly new to EO's (as in the last few years using them more) so these blends are helpful! Thank you!

I love the one that comforts your daughter before bed. The stinky-be-gone, peace and happiness... all their names, so inspiring and encouraging. Thanks for sharing these. We love diffusing and find it quite valuable and effective with seasonal allergies.

My DH and I a are on a week long trip now. I took my Home diffuser and all my YL oils. I am diffusing Thieves and Purification every morning because DH has a cold and I don't want it. In the evening I diffuse Lavender and Lemongrass to relax me and help make me sleepy. BTW, I am using RC on his chest for his cough as well as my usual oily regimen.
Emily Sunwell-Vidaurri
That's great that you're traveling with your diffuser and oils! 🙂
Roberta
My favorite is 2 drops vitaver, 2 drops clary sage, and 2 drops ylang ylang. Very relaxing, and smells so nice.

I'm a Young Living Distributor myself and love diffusing oils, I teach 6th grade and diffuse oils in my classroom but the only diffuser I've ever use is the home diffuser. I want something that will diffuse in a bigger room (700-900 sq ft) . So, I'm inquiring about the Thera Pro. I've been hesitant to buy one because it looks like it would use so much oil so fast. I really can't find any information about how much oil it uses compared to a diffuser that uses water. Any helpful information?
Emily Sunwell-Vidaurri
That's awesome Karen! I love the TheraPro. You can adjust the settings - both the output amount and also the time intervals. I love it! I don't go through oils fast with it, but I also set it on a low output and have it set to rest for 20 minutes.

Glad to be here. I am looking for nourishing infusion recipes.
