In need of a simple appetizer? There's nothing more easy than these delicious 2 ingredient Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts. Enjoy them any day or serve them at a party and watch them disappear fast.
Bacon + Brussels Sprouts are a match made in heaven.
I really don't need to say much more. I mean really, you either love these two or you don't. Simple as that. Those of you who are in the love category are truly going to LOVE these.
These are so easy to make. All you need is two ingredients. Some beautiful green Brussels sprouts and some quality bacon {preferably pastured/grass-fed or organic bacon}. Turkey bacon works great too!
And if you want to get super fancy, you can add some some maple syrup right at the end of the cooking process. This isn't necessary, but it's a really special extra touch if you're able to eat natural sweeteners.
For those who need Low Carb, Keto or Whole30, you'll need to skip this optional step.
Two simple real food ingredients.
It doesn't get much simpler than that. Two or three simple ingredients plus no fuss. These bad boys only take a few minutes to throw together.
Wrap those green beauties up then bake them and you'll have the perfect side for any meal or holiday appetizer in no time.
If you need to feed a lot of people, this recipe can easily be doubled or tripled making it the perfect appetizer for parties.
Serve this delicious appetizer at parties, holiday gatherings or simply as an extra special side dish.

Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts
In need of a simple appetizer? There's nothing more easy than these delicious 2 ingredient Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts. Enjoy them any day or serve them at a party and watch them disappear fast.
Ingredients
- 1 package pasture-raised, organic bacon or turkey bacon {approx. 12 pieces}
- 24 medium to large Brussels sprouts
- 1-2 tablespoon organic maple syrup, optional {OMIT for Low Carb, Keto & Whole30}
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prep a large baking sheet with edges {like a jellyroll pan, I used a stoneware large bar pan} - line it with unbleached parchment paper. Set aside.
- Wash and prep the Brussels sprouts, dry them with a clean dish towel. Cut the stems off of the Brussels sprouts if they are long and woody. Remove any damaged or yucky outer leaves if necessary. Set aside.
- Cut a package of bacon strips in half. Roll a half strip of bacon around each Brussels sprout. Insert a toothpick through the bacon halfway into the Brussels sprout to secure the bacon. Place on the lined baking sheet and repeat until all Brussels sprouts are wrapped with bacon.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for about 25-35 minutes until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. Depending on how thick your bacon is, this could take more or less time to bake. Keep an eye on the bacon around 20 minutes so you don't burn the bacon. Remove from oven when done and serve immediately.
- OPTIONAL {DO NOT do this step for Low Carb, Keto & Whole30} - Remove the baking sheet from the oven and lightly drizzle the bacon with maple syrup. Allow the bacon wrapped Brussels sprouts to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
YOU WILL NEED: Large Bar Pan or Large Jellyroll Baking Pan, Unbleached Parchment Paper, Toothpicks
- You will need 2 Brussels sprouts for every 1 full strip of bacon. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
- For Low Carb, Keto & Whole30: Do not use any maple syrup and make sure to look for a quality source of bacon that has no sugar. There are several brands of bacon now that are sugar-free.
