Bacon + Brussels Sprouts …
I really don’t need to say much more. I mean really, you either love these two or you don’t. Simple as that. Those of you who are in the love category are truly going to LOVE these.
They are so easy to make. All you need is two ingredients. Some beautiful green Brussels sprouts + some bacon {preferably pastured / grass-fed organic bacon}.
And if you want to get super fancy, some maple syrup + some sea salt.
It doesn’t get much simpler than that. Two {or four} simple ingredients + no fuss. These bad boys only take a few minutes to throw together.
Wrap those green beauties up + bake them and you have the perfect holiday appetizer in no time.

Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts
Yield 24 bacon wrapped brussels sprouts
Ingredients
- 1 package pastured / grass-fed / organic bacon {approx. 12 pieces}
- 24 medium to large Brussels sprouts*
- Sea salt, optional
- 1 - 2 tablespoons organic maple syrup, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prep a large baking sheet with edges {like a jellyroll pan, I used a stoneware large bar pan} - line it with unbleached parchment paper. Set aside.
- Wash and prep the Brussels sprouts, dry them with a clean dish towel. Cut stems off Brussels sprouts if they are long and woody. Set aside.
- Cut a package of bacon strips in half. Roll a half strip of bacon around each Brussels sprout. Insert a toothpick through the bacon half way into the Brussels sprout to secure the bacon. Place on lined baking sheet and repeat until all Brussels sprouts are wrapped with bacon.
- Season with optional sea salt.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for about 25-35 minutes until bacon is crispy and golden brown. Depending on how thick your bacon is, they could take more or less time to bake. Keep an eye on them around 20 minutes so you don't burn the bacon.
- Remove from oven and lightly drizzle with optional maple syrup. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
*You will need 2 Brussels Sprouts for every 1 full strip of bacon. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.

Emily, I can’t wait to make this recipe for my family! I wish that organic Brussels sprouts were easier to come by. I need to make a special trip to the best produce market in town to get some. My family will LOVE these!!
I’ll trade you some Brussels sprouts for some of those giant avocados that you get. We have lots of Brussels here but I haven’t seen those avocados. I hope you and your family enjoys them. xo
