Watermelon and lemonade screams summertime!
There’s nothing like a glass of fresh, homemade lemonade at the end of a hot summer day. Everyone love this classic drink.
Watermelon is a summertime favorite too! Watermelon is so loved it’s almost its own food group during the summer.
So why not enjoy both at the same time in the most insanely delicious summertime drink?!
There are so many different versions of lemonade from classic lemonade to mint lemonade, to peach lemonade, to lavender lemonade, to strawberry lemonade, to herbal tea blended with lemonade and ever sugar-free lemonade!
But hands down, my favorite version is watermelon lemonade. There’s just nothing that compares in my opinion.
This healthier slushy blended watermelon lemonade has no sugar and is naturally sweetened.
You won’t find any cane sugar in this blended watermelon lemonade, just simple, natural, real food ingredients.
This slushy watermelon lemonade is so refreshing and only sweetened with pure raw honey, preferably from a local source or a high quality raw honey (that way you get the beneficial properties from the honey).
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
We all need to stay hydrated during the summer heat and watermelon is a great solution. Why? Because watermelon has a high water content!
This makes just one more good reason to add it to lemonade.
Slushy or slushie? Who cares! It’s the same thing.
Maybe the best thing about this blended watermelon lemonade is that it’s a slushy! It’s so, SO, so good! There’s just nothing that can beat the incredible texture of a good slushy.
You won’t find any food coloring and food dyes in this watermelon lemonade slushy.
All you need is watermelon to make this slushy have the most beautiful pink color. You can’t beat that natural pink hue!
Most of all, you can’t beat that mouthwatering flavor of the watermelon!
So grab yourself some watermelon and lemons at your local farmers market and add this to your summertime must-make list!
Blended Watermelon Lemonade

Slushy Blended Watermelon Lemonade
Blended Watermelon Lemonade is a delicious, refreshing, slushy treat with no sugar, just four real food ingredients. It's naturally sweetened and the perfect summertime drink.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed organic lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2 cups organic seedless watermelon chunks
- 3 cups ice cubes made from filtered water
- 1/4 cup raw honey, preferably local (<--I use this or local raw creamed clover)
Instructions
- Measure first or squeeze the juice of 2 lemons through a small fine mesh strainer into blender.
- Add the watermelon chunks, ice cubes and honey in that order to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until combined and slushy. If you don't have a high-powered blender and it’s not combining right away, use a low/pulse button a couple of times or give it a stir with a spoon (turn blender off first if stirring with spoon), then increase the speed up to high or an ”ice crush function, repeat if needed.
- Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
YOU WILL NEED: Blender {<-- this is what I use}, Measuring Cup
- I use these silicone ice cube trays to make easy filtered water ice cubes. These make really great mini ice cubes fast too!

I need to make this for my watermellon loving hubby. I don’t have a regular blender, but I do have a stick blender. That should work, right?
Pinning this for later reference. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
@ Abby, thanks for your comment! I hope your hubby enjoys it ๐ I have never used a stick blender for blending drinks/smoothies, so I’m not sure if it will break up the ice, but I’m guessing it will do fine breaking up the watermelon. I hope it works out ๐

Thanks Christina! I hope you enjoy it. ๐ It’s a favorite at our house.
We’ve been doing our own watermelon slushy. We don’t use lemon. For a more nutritious blend, juice the rind first then pour into blender with watermelon meat. It is also healthy to eat the seeds. Put the seeds right into the blender and blend on medium. Add a bunch of ice cubes to make the slushy. This blend is tasty and sweet enough that you don’t need to add any sweetener. We top the slush with cropped basil microgreens.
That sounds really lovely Gail, especially with the microgreens on top. ๐ I don’t use a juicer anymore, so that wouldn’t be an option for me. I do agree, watermelon is usually sweet enough that no sweetener is needed – that’s what my family does too. But for my lemonade version, adding the raw honey is really helpful since most people are used to a sweeter, less tart lemonade. If we have a super sweet watermelon, I don’t add it or sometimes I use liquid stevia instead … but so far the watermelons we’ve had this season are not very sweet or full of flavor. I’m hoping that as summer picks up the watermelons will get better.
I can’t believe there are only 4 ingredients in this and that such a vivid red color is totally natural! Real food is SO beautiful! (Of course, your gorgeous photos are easy on the eyes, too. ๐ )
This looks so thirst quenching, can’t wait to make it!
This is perfect for summer. I’m totally making this for our little party this weekend. The kids will LOVE it!
Not usually a lemonade fan, do you think this would still be amazing with lime? I’m going to give it a shot. With the current heatwave, I’m all about the slushie drinks!
perfect refreshing summer beverage!! My girls LOVE water melon and I am always trying to use some up, will have to try this next time!
I could totally go for this right now! Looks perfectly refreshing and the best way to cool down during this hot weather.
It’s so hot! I would love this today!
I lived on slushies growing up- the unhealthy kind. These look just as good and I love the clean ingredients. I could go for one right now actually! Yum!
I am a total watermelon addict! I think my kids would totally love this too <3
This recipe epitomizes summer, especially with this exhausting heat we’re experiencing right now! LOVE this, so hydrating and SO delicious!! Pinning to #alltheboards ๐ xo
I am looking at this drink and my mouth is salivating!!! This would be so satisfying on a hot summer day or after I come back from a run and need a bit of natural sugars to top up the tank.
Watermelon and lemonade are two summer essentials! Love how easy this recipes is; can’t wait to try it with my kids!
Nothing more refreshing than watermelon in the summer!

This looks so appealing! I have always felt gulity about “depriving” my kids of slushies and now I don’t have to. They love lemonade and watermelons so this is the sweet spot. Thank you!
