Strawberry Cucumber Lemon Water is so refreshing on a hot day! Change up your plain water routine with this hydrating, flavorful, infused water. It’s perfect for sipping on all day plus it’s sugar-free, low carb, Keto and Whole30® friendly.
When spring and summer hits, bring on the infused waters!
Is it warming up where you live? Our weather has been so bizarre. It seems like every year we skip through spring so fast. Luckily we have not hit any triple digits yet.
I’m not a fan of extreme heat. Who am I kidding, I’m really not a fan of anything over 85 degrees … and that’s pushing it. However, warmer weather is much better for my body and health than cold weather. So when it heats up, I have to find ways to help cool me down.
Naturally flavored infused waters are one of my favorite spring and summertime drinks. Have you ever made any? They are so good!
One of my favorite flavor combos for infused water is strawberry + cucumber + lemon. It’s so refreshing and delicious!
Infused waters are so easy to make!
All you need to do is get some filtered water and organic produce. Please choose organic here, because it does matter. Organic is especially important for strawberries because conventional ones are heavily sprayed.
Why is Organic Important for this water?
You really don’t want to be hydrating your body with something that is totally toxic to it. It kind of defeats the purpose doesn’t it?
Strawberries are at the top of the EWG’s most pesticide-laden produce list. That’s no good.
If you’d like to find out more about which fruits and veggies have the most pesticides sprayed on them, check out the Environmental Working Group’s {EWG} Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce™ {they update this every year}.
The prep work is simple.
All you need to do is cut up some fresh strawberries – slice them or cut them in half, either way works. Then slice up the cucumber. My family prefers it peeled, so that’s what I do. If seeds are an issue for you, go ahead and scrape those out.
Then slice up the lemon. If you see tons of seeds, go ahead and discard them.
Toss everything into a big half gallon mason jar or pitcher and cover with water. Voilà!
If you prefer the water to be cold, just throw in some ice cubes or stick the whole thing in the fridge for a while to chill.
That’s it! Before you know it you’ll be sipping on some delicious, extremely flavorful Strawberry Cucumber Lemon Water.
